How to set the categories

Which page is using a category selection, that is not working?

And yes, you can change the custom loop settings on an already published page.

Hi yes excuse me, it is the continuation, of course you can close it.
I’ve tried to change my page on wich I have the short code of the store, but the only set that changes are the number of the colunms, but doesn’t get the number of producte per page, remains an only long page.
Also I select to show the product for title but nothing happens.
I also select the category to be shown as the store but nothing.
I’ve also tried to edit a complitly new page as you’ve suggested me yestarday. in that case the store was ok, all the chenges where taken, but nothing happened for the categoy. that’s why I was asking you if i colud change also an already public page.
I hope i’ve been axplaining well the things.

You appear to be using a caching plugin, and or a plugin that minifies all code. Also, all css from external css files is included in the html source as inline css. Such plugins may cause issues with css and js code. Clear any cache and deactivate all such plugins, then try again.

Hy. I’ve disinstalled Wp Cleanup Optimizer Lite Edition,Autoptimize, the store now is ok. nothing to do with the categories.
By the way i have to tell you that the store was simply displayed at the bottom of the content already published.
so i just took off the short-code of the store in the page and everything was all right.
do you have suggestion for the categories??

There is a setting for that in the add-on settings.

What exactly is your question re. the categories?

I’m not sure I understand, but any changes (custom loop addon settings) will ONLY be applied to the page for which you set these custom loop settings.

If you have created a category page with the custom loop settings in effect (for that page), can you add a link to such a page?

actually i’ve not really edit a page, i’ve add from the manu, a category.
I’didn’t know how to add from “write page” a category.
actually i wouldn’t know how to do it.
any way the page add to the menu is the one i’ve linked.

(custom loop addon settings) will ONLY be applied to the page for which you set these custom loop settings

So you need to create a new page, and set the Custom Loop settings the way you want. You can then add that page to your menu via wp-dashboard > Appearance > Menus.

Ronald that’s what i did. The link you see is the page of the store, and in this there’s the settings as for the store and for the categories.
the store is ok, but nothing for the categories.

I understood that i have to set the custom loop for the page, and that’s what i did. but still the categories don’t appear as set.
Also because i can’t edit a page with the categories. the categories can be only add to the menu from the dashboard.
so can you tell me how can i edit e page for the categories?

– write a new page, name it “some category” (<- just an example!)
– enable the custom loop addon
– select post from “some category”
– save the settings
– publish the page
you now have a page “mysite.com/some-category” with post from just that category.
– go to wp-dashboard > Appearance > Menu
– drag the page “some category” to your navigation menu

done
