How to set order to on-hold (instead of processing)

    Hi
    i see some other people have this problem and you recommend some server config… but mine doesnt make this very easy thing to do (its a dreampress host). is it posible in code to set all orders from mercadopago on-hold? (so it sends the “new order” email)?
    ive tried some ‘hax’ on functions file but they dont work either.

    When the order is pending (initial status) for processing is already sent the new order email.
