how to set global header?

When creating the header – in the template options just select the template type to be ‘Header’ – https://screenshots.sharkz.in/nik/20170731124708.png

This will set this header as a global header for your site.

I think I’ve found my issue … i had the tempalate on Canvas … Change it to the default and see if that helps

That does make sense, The Canvas template of Elementor does not load any markup / actions for header or footer so this plugin cannot add it’s headers or footers.

Canvas template should not be used to a page if custom header is to be displayed.
