How to set Age Verify for Landing Page only?

Been reading a lot of posts about the Age Verify plugin not remembering users when navigating further pages.
Does anyone have a clear explanation on how to fix this?
If I just want Age Verify to pop-up on our landing page, is there a way to alter the code so it does not auto-populate on every page thereafter?
