  • Hey there Goharika,

    Hope you’re having a great day ??

This subforum is for support for the free version of Membership 2, for questions related to the premium version please use WPMU DEV forum, you can open a thread here and our support staff will help you in no time ??

With that being said and since you already posted here I’ll respond. You can achieve this in multiple ways.

    1. By using Media protection add-on. Go to Membership 2 -> Add-ons -> Media Protection (click on details) -> activate Protect Individual Media files, see screenshot https://screencast.com/t/Rxkf0sbc3. This will add “Media Library Items” in Membership 2 -> Protection Rules where you can protect attachments from your media library.

    2. You can use content protection shortcodes and wrap the content that you want protected inside your post/page content. You can find more info about what shortcodes you can use for this in Membership 2 -> Memberships by hovering on the Show in Shortcodes column https://screencast.com/t/RRiwoVLBvUwq.

If you have additional questions please use the WPMU DEV forum as instructed above.

    Have a great weekend!

    Cheers,
    Bojan

Thanks for support. This helps to protect page. But I need to protect something more. I have activated Media Protection add on as you say, but I need to hide my books urls too. As on hover it appears again, not the same way as before /wp-uploads/ …. it turns into /downloads/…pdf, but not secure.
For example I am selling my products, they are .pdf books. When user is registering he can see page content, and download pdfs, and here he can see pdf links on the bottom of browser corner. I don’t want to show url someone.

    Hey Gohar,

Glad you upgraded to premium, all the data is stored in the database so what you can do is simply overwrite the plugin files via FTP/cPanel and you should be safe.

To do that download premium version of the plugin, then access your site files and navigate to /wp-content/plugins/ and overwrite the old membership folder with the new one.

In case you want to be extra safe you can do a site backup just in case something goes wrong.

If you have any additional questions please use WPMU DEV forum as instructed above ??

    Cheers,
    Bojan
