How to serve audio ads before an audio stream

  • Hi all – I’ve spent the day looking for a solution to my problem and the closest I’ve come is found on this site (though I’m thinking it is overkill): https://www.limelightnetworks.com/mobile-advertising-video-ads/

    I need to serve a 5 second audio ad before streaming audio from a player on my site. The process would go like this:

    User presses play on the player – the player grabs a random mp3 hosted in an ADVERTISMENTS folder on the site (5 second .mp3 audio ads) – plays the ad and then plays the intended .mp3 audio file.

    Basically looking to add a 5 second audio ad (chosen at random from a separate ads folder) before playing the intended mp3 file.

    Thoughts? Is there another audio player / ad server out there that might be able to accomplish this?
