• I want to notify subscribers about new posts without the post being in the email. I have myself setup as a subscriber and when I enter a new post the entire post is emailed to me.

I am using Jetpack’s subscription plugin but do not see a setting to change the content of the email. I have my Read Settings article feed set to “summary”.

I want people to come to my site to read articles. Can someone tell me how to change this.

    Thanks for your help,

    Ronnie

No one ever responded, but I did figure it out for myself. When you create you post and BEFORE you publish go to the point in the post that you want your subscribers to see in the email and place an “Insert More Break.” Then publish the post and they will only get the text you want them to see.

    Hope this helps.

I will try it. Thanks for the information.

    Hi,

Can you be more explicit about the solution you suggest ? is it the above sentence “Ins..” that has to be added ? in the visual or html part ? will it show on the actual post ?
    And does it work ?

    Thanks

The “Insert More Break” is a button on my editor. I use CKEditor and it is the last button on the third row of the tool bar. I do not know which editor you are using, but you should be able to hover your mouse over the buttons and get a description for each one. Find the one that inserts a page break into the post. It could say read “Insert More Break” or “Read More” or any descriptor that indicates you are inserting a page break.

    Good Luck
