How to sell other's products/services and ensure commission using WooCommerce

    I’m fairly new to WooCommerce and been trying to find info. on this specific question, but to no avail:

    How do you sell other’s products/services (e.g. a trendy suitcase company – which is not connected to affiliate programs – and which I will contact directly to sell one of their suitcases) and ensure to receive a commission if referred or bought on their website, thanks to my website?

    How does WooCommerce do this?

    Hi Julien,

    I’m not sure I understand how this works. You can create an affiliate product with your affiliate link: https://cld.wthms.co/1jAcr/2DrztDO5, but it sounds like they don’t have an affiliate system?

    What do you want to happen? Do they need to purchase the suitcase on your site and then you will buy the suitcase on retailers site?

    That’s right, the suitcase company is not part of an affiliate system.

    What I want to happen is that,

    1) If they (the suitcase company) are not part of an affiliate system and I use the affiliate link (like in your screenshot), my website visitor clicks on “Buy now” on my website, which then leads to the suitcase company website where they can purchase it there. How do I track this and make sure I receive a commission based on this click through?

    The above is my initial question, but is it best practice? If not, what is and how does it usually work (with affiliate systems on all sides of the sales). Can you give an example of the flow until purchase?

    Usually in the above scenario the suitcase company would give you a special link to use **so they can track incoming customers from your site**.

    Things such as google analytics also track outgoing links right? But a click does not necessarily mean a conversion.
