How to search for empty fields

    We are using the Classifieds Plugin to run an accommodation service for refugees from Ukraine.

    People taking out an ad can either supply a phone number or an email address.

    In the backend, we would like to be able to filter for ads lacking a phone number or an email address. However, running the awpcp_search_by function with an empty search field for email or phone returns all ads. Searching for “empty” does not seem to work that way.

    Is there a way to get all ads with a particular field missing, i.e. empty?

    Thank you for reaching out about this. I’m Garret from the customer success team and I’ll be happy to help with this.

    Unfortunately, we don’t have a way to find ads with a missing field at this time. That being said, you can make these fields required which will require those fields to be filled out before completing the ad. I think that would be the best way to go to ensure those fields get filled.

    To make your fields required you can go to Classified Ads > Display > Form Fields. From here, you can find the Form Fields Behavior section and choose which fields are required for the ad as seen in the screenshot below.
