    Hi,
I have on my hosting account a few WordPress domains
but also a forum, which is SMF based and not WordPress..

So this forum is located as usually also in its own directory
    folder on the hoster space.

How can I tell Wordfence to also scan this other directory of the
    forum for Malware files ?

    For instance:

    /root/Wordpress
    /root/Forum

are the filestructure and folder pathes..

So how can Wordfence also scan
    my
    /root/Forum
    folder for Malware ?

My forum software does not have a Malware scanner
and I will need to see, where there are some Malware files,
    cause the forum got hacked.

    Many thanks.

  • Hi

On the options page there is a check box for scanning files outside your wordpress installation directory. Use that and it should get it.

    Hmm,
it does not really do this…

I have many other folder that it does not scan…

Would be good, if it could display which pathes it is just scanning…
Is there any option to show the path it is just scanning ?

Do I need the Premium version for it or does it also work with the free version ?
I only have the free version in this moment but would
be happy to upgrade and pay, if it could also scan all my other folders for Malware…
    Many thanks.

    Regards, Stefan.

It scans actual files on the server outside your wordpress installation. If your forum is database driven then its likely not scanning inside it. However, this is a plugin for wordpress and not designed to pickup malware in other software. I can ask the dev team to try and include it in a future version and see what they say but at this time I don’t think we offer exactly what you are asking for.
