Don’t think I described that well.

I’d like to backup all my old posts from my blog as I’m moving to a new url soon. With LiveJournal, there are programs where all posts can be saved into a pdf ‘ebook’.

I’m wondering if there are similar programs for WordPress. If not, how else could I save my old posts besides manually copying and pasting them into word or text files.

    appreciate all help given!

If you get hung/stuck, post back…. I’m off here shortly, late where I live, but someone should be around who can help.

Hi, I made a backup of all the files before reinstalling wordpress.
I simply copied them on my hard disc. Now of course I don’t know how to reinsert them into wordpress.
    Can anybody help me?

One note: there are two things you need to back up:

    (1) Your blog files, themes, etc.
    (2) Your database

The posts are in the database. The WordPress files contain the WordPress program, plugins, themes, etc.
