• I have the Front Page setup the way I want using the Cutomiz’it Front Page settings, except I want to add a sidebar. But this page doesn’t show up in the “Pages” menu on the dashboard for me to edit or add widgets. I think I need to make it a static page, but how can I save what is there now on the Front Page as a static page? When I select “use static page” in the Customiz’it menu, all the content disappears.

  • Having made the correct settings in Customizr in Front Page, the actual widgets are found in:

    Dashboard>Appearance>Widgets

There is a Right Sidebar panel where you can slide widgets in/out like standard WP.

    trying to help..

First you make a page to use it as static page, example : MyFrontStaticPage
If you want to make sidebar visible, then arrange the Layout Options as you like.

When you select “use static page” in Front Page Displays, then assign the page MyFrontStaticPage to Front Page (below Front Page Display).

Assign the Widget just like rdellconsulting said.

Thanks guys! I figured out the way to create a new static page based on the “example page”, but it inherits the problem that no sidebars are showing up in the example page. My client likes the Example Front page, but wants me to add a sidebar.

    Site link?
