I think you should add this in the header.php file instead of using it as a background image. It doesn’t really lend itself to that style and needs to stay contained in the container width and away from the site title for smaller browser widths.

Janet4now, thank you for your response. I know how to get to header.php but have never modified one and don’t know how or where to make the modification.

It’s a background you can use the background position. Add this to your custom css box in the theme options > advanced settings:

.headerclass {
background-position-x: 90%;
}
