How to rewrite or replace existing post with new post?

  • Hello dear community,
    i need a help.

    I need some plugin or other solution to rewrite/replace existing post (duplicate post) with new post.
    I have a deal site if i posting new deal with new price and coupon there can be allready existing older post for thit product and i want it to replace or overwrite or delete the older one so it will be no duplicate content and the url of the post still the same.
    How can i do this?

  • You can’t just edit the existing post? And change the publication date, if need be?

    Thanks, that possibility i know, but its to much manual steps. My deals posting automaticly, because there is more then 100 per day, i cant do it manul, i need some automatic solution!

    Well the change would need to be to however you’re automatically posting deals, but you haven’t described what you’re using to do that or included any code.

    as i wrote, i post deals automaticly in the same way, so there are many duplicate content on my page, because so deals reapting daily with new prices and coupons. My poster posting that deals and create duplicate post if there some plugin wich will detect same post and overwrite or delet that old post.

    ‘Same way’ as what? I mean technically. What is the process you are using for automatically posting?
