• I just updated to a new version but now my blog is a total mess! I would like to recover my old blog. Am not sure how to reverse this.

    Just restore your files and database to the pre-2.7 state that it was in.

    …I am taking a wild guess and figuring that you did not backup anything before the upgrade, right…? If that’s the case, de-activate all of your plugins and see if that makes the total mess go away.

    If that works, turn on the plugins one at a time until the bad thing happens. That plugin will be the culprit and you will need to either update it or leave it off until it is updated.

    If it doesn’t fix it, with all the plugins de-activated switch to the default theme and see if that fixes the total mess. This is just to see if your theme is the culprit.

    If none of this works, we’ll need error messages and a link to see what you are talking about.

    Actually, my blog is still in tact. My header and images are set back to default, as are column settings. I think I will just slog through and update everything again. Already have the header and layout back. Seems safer than messing with the database.
