How to retroactively add title attributes to images?

  • Hi,

    I have a whole bunch of images with no alt or title image tag attributes.

    Needing to go back and add both to them.

    From what I have seen it is possible to add alt attributes directly from the Media library Edit page, and also from within posts (or in this case, a portfolio post type in my theme).

    Would ideally like to have the same functionality for the title attributes; not sure why this is missing?

  • You should be able to access each image in the Media gallery. Log in to your site, then click the “Media” tab. Once you’ve done that, hover over an image, then click edit. You should then see the title, alt attributes etc that can be edited (you may need to also expand the Advanced link at the bottom of that screen).

    Do you see the Media link in your dashboard?
