• I have a site that has been hacked. Among the damage is, the admin logins (there are three) do not work. Also, the pw reset works but incompletely.

When I ask for a pw reset, it sends me an email, but only the first half of the usual message. The text that says something along the lines of “to reset, etc” is missing and there is link to launch the reset.

I have access to the MySQl db through myPHPadmin admin and could edit the user table. I even can see a code in the activation cell. But I know that su=imply editing the encrypted pw will not work.

At one point, I did know how to reset the pw in a MySQL table. I recall there were three or so simple steps. But I can’t recal it now.

    Does anyone know?

    Thanks
