How to resolve Database connection errors
-
Been having quite a few problems from my multiple author blog… which according to my host was causing server crashes (no specifics received as yet)… so my host moved me to a dedicated server plan… today is the first day of my two WP Blogs on the dedicated server (both site and database) one of my blogs has multiple authors about 60… and I noticed that while clicking “edit” on comments or “delete” inside the admin for comments etc… I get the following page:
============================================
Error establishing a database connectionThis either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host’s database server is down.
* Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
* Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
* Are you sure that the database server is running?If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.
==========================================
But the thing is upon refresing the page, I would get the intended page… I checked with my host and they replied that… “Occationally the WordPress processes may time out of the server load at the time is high, just wait a few min and try again.”
Is there a way to resolve this issue? I know many high hitting WP blogs that do not get this issue. Perhaps the host may not be aware of some settings that can help… any advise here…
