How to reset twenty twenty four theme

I asked for help in WordPress general support forum about my problem. However, I think this is a more relevant forum.

I was experimenting with installing woocommerce on my My Twenty Twenty Four themed site. However the design and layout e.g. Homepage, header & footer style and content were completely replaced by Woocommerce theme design. I tried uninstalling and deleting all woocommerce pages and plugins and even deleting and reinstalling twenty twenty four but the problem persisted.

Finally, I reinstalled an older theme I had been using until recently, and all the original settings, layout, menus etc are more or less intact.

I would really like to use Twenty Twenty Four. So my question is, can any one explain to me how I can reset the default templates and patterns which have apparently been overridden my woocommerce?
