We signed up for a new account on facebook and connected it with our site. A couple later of days facebook disabled the account. Now we want to use an old account and connect the plugin to old account (business page). When we click on manage connection it has old config settings despite deleting the two tables from database we cannot seem to make it to work. Deleted tables below:
    woocommerce_facebookcommerce_settings
    facebook_config

Please help. For future please add an option on deactivate to reset the plugin data. So that nobody else faces this issue.

    Thanks
    Ahmed Q.

  • Hey @iamahmedq,

Thanks for getting in touch! The important part if you’d like to reset the plugin, is to delete the wc_facebook_external_merchant_settings_id option from the wp_options table.

That said, we’ve created a small little plugin that will add a reset option to the WooCommerce Tools section that should do the job for you here!

Would you please download and install the following small plugin? This will add a new tool available at WooCommerce > Status > Tools called “Reset Facebook for WooCommerce settings“. Please click the Reset Settings button here, and then navigate back to the Facebook for WooCommerce plugin settings screen to try again!

Could you let me know when you have a moment to try this out and let me know if it works for you? ??

    Cheers!

    Simon.

    Thank you Simon,

    This worked like a charm.

    Hey @iamahmedq,

Great! Thanks so much for confirming. If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to let me know!

    Cheers,

    Simon.

I want to reset the setting of the plugin but I cannot find the table wc_facebook_external_merchant_settings_id in database wp_options. I was able to find it the first time I reset, now I cannot. I also use this plugin Facebook for WooCommerce – settings tools but every time I reset Facebook for WooCommerce settings, the result is ‘No settings to clear’, also it worked the first time I used the plugin. Please help.

    Hey @maslzr ,

Thank you very much for reaching out to us. I’d be happy to help you with this.

We’ve released a new version of our plugin (v2.0.1) recently that includes some changes to the way the merchant settings are handled. In order to provide you with more information, would it be possible to let me know which version are you currently using?

    Looking forward to your response.

    Best regards,

I have replied to you in the email but I don’t see it here. I am using version 2.0.1.

    Hey @maslzr ,

Thank you very much for your response. I’m sorry for the delay in getting back to you here. I really appreciate your patience. ??

Since you’re using our latest version, you can reset your settings by navigating at WooCommerce > Facebook > Connection where you’ll be able to find an “Uninstall” button if you’ve completed the initial setup.

If you haven’t completed the setup, would you please let me know a bit more regarding why you’d like to reset the settings? Have you encountered a specific error message or any issues with the functionality of our plugin?

    Looking forward to your response.

    Best regards,

    Hello,

I am facing the same issue. I have no wc_facebook_external_merchant_settings_id table and when clicking on the Uninstall link within the Marketing/Facebook page I get “Uninstall unsuccessful. Please try again.”.

The plugin is not connected anymore and it is not reset. When clicking on “Manage Connection” I get a Facebook page saying:

“This Content Isn’t Available Right Now
When this happens, it’s usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it’s been deleted.”

I do not have the “Get Started” button.

Installed Facebook for WooCommerce plugin version: 2.3.0

How can I reset the plugin so I can re-create the connection please?

    Thank you in advance!
