I would like to change the vertical position of images featured in the front page slider. Facebook re-position feature for cover images is a good example of the functionality I’m looking for. Even a simpler one (just top or bottom position) would be an improvement.

Currently the images go by default to the vertical center. Since this is a theme aimed at photographers you will find that most compositions rely on a rule of thirds and it is quite unfortunate to have a default crop by the center of the image. You can see why this does not work on my web site https://tangographs.com/

By the way, I purchased the premium version of this theme, in case that matters.

  • I see you solved this issue by creating a gallery for the home page. There is a theme setting that adjusts the height of the slider so it always fits the entire image. Just navigate to Appearance > Theme Settings, click on the Slider tab and enable “Scale Home Page Slider Height”.

The only problem with this is that on wide screen displays, the images can land up taking a lot of space. Your solution and this setting are the 2 options though ??
