How to reposition slider?

I am using a slider on my front page and would like to add content below it. Using zeeCorporatePro as template: Image Slider Frontpage Template. Can’t seem to add any other content to the page, so defaulted to add text into my page intro. Problem is this text appears only ABOVE the slide show.
Tried to add widgets to the front page, and they don’t appear. Help?
