How to replace “.dot” with “-” in permalinks?

    Hi,

    Does anyone know how to replace “dot” with “-” in permalinks?

    for ex:
    i have a title something like :
    the.transporter.3.dvdrip

    and by default wordpress replaces my “.” between word with nothing just takes them out showing like this:
    thetransporter3dvdrip

    witch i don’t like it :D… and thats why i want to raplace the dots with “-” to show like this:
    the-transporter-3-dvdrip

    does anyone know how to do this please?

    i want it to be done automatically, not to do it manually.

    when i type the title the.transporter.3.dvdrip and press publish i want my premalink to show link this: the-transporter-3-dvdrip , without being necessary to edit it manually. any ideas ?

    ok, thanks anyway for reply… still waiting for someone to come with a solution

    Um… just don’t put the dots. Type out the title as “the transporter 3 dvdrip” and the permalink will be “the-transporter-3-dvdrip”

    that would be logical but I figured he had a specific reason for wanting the dots

    Unfortunately I have less faith in the human race, lol.

    Call me slow but I just realized that “the.transporter.3.dvdrip is “The Transporter 3 DVD rip”. Which indicates that Dangerell is ripping DVD’s and making them available to the public. And then he told us he was doing it. Which makes me smile just a little bit.

    People don’t seem to understand how easy it is to find things on Google, huh? I was thinking just last night how people use the same usernames for everything which makes them very easy to find.

    dangerell + the-transporter-3-dvdrip takes you right to the site. Incidently, check this out. He/she is stealing images too:

    which is ALSO a rip off site (if you click on the link it shows a big image saying “this image has been stolen from oneddl.com”). LMAO. I give up.
