    Hello, would appreciate some help with removing the ‘powered by WP’ from footer in the Zillah theme to customise to my needs. I am not able to find a ‘footer’ option in either theme options, or widgets.

    Please note that I am not familiar with css, so I’d rather not go the coding route if there is another option available.

    Thanks in advance for your hellp.

  • You should ask in the theme’s support forum.
    (you can hide it with CSS or make a child theme to remove it entirely)

    Thank you for your kind revert Joy, – and sorry all that I’m posting in the wrong place. I’m new to wordpress and here, and still trying to get a hang of things.

    I have installed a child theme plugging – could you help me what to do next pls?

    Is there a CSS section in the customizer? If so, just add

    .footer-copyright {
    display: none;
    }

    .footer-copyright is the selector; display:none means to not display it

    Thank you very much for your kindness Oguruma, there indeed is a CSS section – from your note, I can see how easy it is to manage the footer tweak from there! ??

    However, I figured out how to install a child theme since my last message, and I managed to set the footer to my preference – I’m officially a coder yay! ??

    By the way, for what it’s worth, and I might have misunderstood, but apparently Google search may blacklist sites that ‘hide’ ‘Powered by WP/ theme developer’ through CSS – ??Just thought I’d share this here, in case any other tech-unsavvy folks like me happen to be reading this. Don’t take my word for it though guys, I might have misunderstood!
