How to remove years old on date picker front end view – Ultimate Member

    When i fill the date of birth on date picker it comes as xx years old on the frontend on the list of members. now i want to remove the years old, i just want the system to show the age only. ultimate member

    You make your own custom English language file as described in the link.

    Look for %s years old and change to %s
    in your new custom English language file.

    I have changed it according to what you instructed but still no changes

    Change WP Settings language to your custom language file

    WP Settings -> General -> Site language

    When i go to WP Settings > General > Site language

    I can choose one from the following, relevant for my website

    English(South Africa)

    English(UK)

    English(Australia)

    English(Canada)

    English(New Zealand)

    Non of those sort my issue.

    No I was wrong, you will get the updated language
    without changing the WP Site language

    1. Download and install the Poedit app on your PC

    2. Download the ultimate-member-en_Us.po and ultimate-member-en_Us.mo files from /ultimate-member/languages to your PC

    3. Make a “translation” of your desired English text changes with the Poedit app
    and save the file on your PC

    4. Upload the two files from your PC to /wp-content/languages/plugins/

    5. Test the new “Translation” in UM

    Thank you i see what you mean but i am not finding a way to edit/replace on Poedit, could you please edit for me and send the files back to me. I just need to replace years old to just years

    Details:

    1. Start the Poedit app on your PC
    2. Select from the start screen: “Edit a translation”
    3. Open the PC file: “ultimate-member-en_Us.po”
    4. Click on the text “%s years old” found in upper textarea “Source text English”
    5. Now you can in the next textarea below find “%s years old” in “Source text:”
    6. Type %s or %s years in the last textarea called “Translation:”
    7. Click the Poedit command: File -> Save
    8. Exit the Poedit app
