How can I remove the white space around Container Blocks in Posts?

I deleted all Padding and Margin settings, but the white spaces do not disappear.

These seem to anly appear in Posts, not in Pages.

I’d be very helpful for any idead on how to fix this issue because I’d like to separate logical blocks by using a different background color. This background color should cover the whole width of the screen.

    Hi there,

The white space is the background color of the content area and the body area.

You can set different colors for the body background and content background to see the boundaries.

You can adjust the content container padding at customizer > layout > container.

    Hello Ying

Thank you very much again for the quick answer, and for pointing me in the right direction.

It turned out that the Container Width in customizer>layout>container was too small. I’ve changed it from 1200 to 1500, and now the white space on the left and right side in the posts are gone.

This is great. I just don’t understand why this was only a problem in the Post page. The problem did not occur in Page pages.

The (vertical) gap (white space) between the blocks (top and bottom) did not go away though. Even after setting all Container Padding entries to 0 in customizer>layout>container.

However, I found a solution: Adding some Bottom Padding in the content block resolved the issue.

So everything is working as expected now.

Thank you very much again for your support, and let me know if there’s anything I can do to support you. I’d be very happy to write a testimonial or give you a great rating. Just let me know where I can do so.

    Another issue came up:

The Post page I’m working on looks great on the Mozilla browser at all window widths, even very small ones.

Unfortunately, on the Safari browser on my iPhone there is a margin (white space) on the right side on the Post page.

This issue only appears on my iPhone and only on the Post page.

There is no white margin on the home page, which is a Page page as opposed to a Post page.

And there is no white margin on the Safari browser on my iPad.

Any ideas how to resolve this?

    Hi there,

the extra space comes from the post navigation block you have at the end of the post. The button inside that has a Margin Left of 110% causing it to overflow.

Thank you very much for your quick response, David!

Removing the 110% margin solved the issue. That’s fantastic, I had almost given up up on fixing this, and now it’s working perfectly fine.

    Thank you so much!

    You’re welcome
