I need help! I ran my site through GTmetrix and I noticed Viglink showing up, along with other unknown codes/links.
When I first installed it my site it became really slow. After I uninstalled it it’s even slower now. I went into my account (off of WordPress- viglink.com) and tried to delete it but I don’t see where it can be deleted.

I deleted the plugin Viglink, but it’s still redirecting my links (redirect.viglink. com).

Here’s an example: link go to “Adele sandals” and you will see how it doesn’t the link.

I also went into my cPanel and the malware must be hidden because my host site (and myself) can’t seem to locate it.

I reached out to Viglink, and they said I need to go into my site and remove the JavaScript. I’ve deleted many many plugins and NEVER once had to do anything like that. I also know nothing about coding.

On top of that, when I check my site on GTmetrix I’m seeing all these weird links that are slowing my site down, like:
    api.viglink.com
    https://media.lowermybills.com
    e.neac.com
    stags.blueaki.com
    pixel.rubiconproject.com
    rtv.openx.net
    z.moatads.com
    px.moatads.com

So now I have no idea what to do…any suggestions?

PS: I reached out to my hostsite (Hostdime), and they said it looks like malware but can’t help because they don’t do free content management.

Hey @agirlinla, So the VigLink script is definitely on your website still. Are you running CloudFlare at all? If you disabled the VigLink plugin it would have removed it from your site. But it is your Key being used by the javascript so that’s good. I will be emailing you directly if you do want to remove VigLink, but rest assured, our plugin is not the cause of the malware.

I did run GTMetrix and Lighthouse audits on your site and did not see the moatads or those others. Was there a specific page you ran GTMetrix on that showed you those results.

First thing I would do it change passwords for everything that would connect to your site, cpanel, the wordpress login, and check what other users might have access. Also, run a virus/malware check on your personal computer as well, as it sounds like you may be infected with some malware.

    Thank for your response.

I paid someone to go into the backend and remove the left over JavaScript. I no longer see the Malware links when I scan on GTMetrix.
