How to remove title description on homepage?

    It seems that I have my blog title twice on my homepage, same with the description.

    I want it once at the top because the logo is way too tiny (I posted about this here) but the title and description are also in the footer too.

    Is there a way to hide it in the footer?

    If not could it be added?

    Would be also nice if we could choose to show either the title OR description in the header. We only have the choice of on or off, not one or the other.
