How to remove the Taxonomy from the sidebar?

    Hi,
    How do I remove the Taxonomy selection that is displayed in the sidebar of a post?
    I have created a CPT and in that I have the ACF TAxonomy field, so that I can control the layout/style of the Taxonomy selection. This all works.
    However I can’t seem to get rid of the duplicated Taxonomy selection in the sidebar.

    I thought that I could just uncheck the features in the Settings section of the CPT. I can turn off other features such as Featured Image but not Taxonomy.

    Is there a way to do this?

    Are you using or intending to use the Block editor or are you using Classic?

    If you’re using classic version, then you can pass false to the “Meta box callback” field with CPTUI settings and have it go away. However, I am not sure it’s going to be as easily possible with Block editor. I would need to do some searching for possible working solutions there.

    Hmmm good question.
    Definitely don’t intend to use Gutenburg at all. But I also don’t have Classic installed. I use Elementor for any other editing.

    This is just displaying a CPT in the WP Dashboard. All the fields apart from Title are custom fields.
    Title is all I have ticked in the “Supports” section, all the other stuff that normally appears in the sidebar has gone although the sidebar is still there. So I just wanted the Taxonomy selection to go away as well.

    So does the Supports section pass False for each of the ticked items? If so could Taxonomy simply be added to the list?

    Hopefully that works in this case, but I can’t say I’ve ever done much testing on that part with Elementor as the tool over Blocks/Classic.

    Ah magic thank you very much!
    I was looking at the CPT settings rather than the Taxonomy settings.
    Set the callback to false and that removed the Taxonomy values but left the header.
    Set the Show UI to False as well and that removed the Header as well.
    So all good now.
