How to remove the index.php from permalinks when creating the pages

  • Hi.

    When i make pages, index.php comes in the permalinks like https://www.mysite.com/index.php/about-us

    i want to remove the index.php from the permalink. I tries by removing the index.php from the permalink structure by giving custom permalinks. when i opened that page then it error message comes that page not found. When i add index.php in the permalink then the page opens. Please help me in this
