    Hello

I was wondering how I can remove the html code that appears in emails. I saw you can do something with bbpnns_extra_headers but I’m not sure where to put it (theme child functions.php?) and any other code I need to add.

Id like the emails to either show html (not actual code) or not have any html in the emails. But having the actual code appear looks really bad. Could you please explain how I can do this?
    Thank you.

    Hi Yandoos,

What version of bbpnns are you using? The latest versions have an option to select HTML, Plain Text, or Multipart messages under Settings > Forums > Email Notifications.

In any case, HTML code shouldn’t be showing at all. It sounds like a bug to me. Please provide more info so I can see what the problem is.

    Cheers,
    Vinny

I was running Version 1.14.3. I disabled it because of this issue. I will re-enable and look for this setting to make sure it is set.
I use tinymce on my bbpress forum but for the email notifications I’d prefer turn off html in email notifications.

    What info do you need?

    Thanks

That might be the problem right there. If you use tinymce, all your messages will be saved as HTML. If you don’t enable HTML in the mailout, you’ll get the raw message that was saved originally, which is HTML.

Make sure you use ‘HTML’ or ‘Both’ option in the mailout format under Settings > Forums > Email Notifications and you should no longer see HTML code in your mailouts.

    Cheers,
    Vinny
