How to remove the floating footer + blank space under slider

  • Hello, I’m sorry to bother you with this but I’m using the Merlin theme (which is awesome by the way) and I’m encountering a few small problems I hope you can help me with:

    1) Is there a way to remove the floating header that reads ??proudly powered by wordpress, Theme: Merlin?? ? It doesn’t look good on iOS and I already give credit in the actual footer (I’ve fiddled with the infinity css of the jetpack plugin, but nothing’s changed).

    2) There is a blank space under the slider, that disappears after a few seconds. Is there a way to remove it? (I have reconstructed all if the images already)

    Bonus question: The menu bar floats on big screens… but is there a way to make it float on mobile platforms as well?

    Hi Daz,

    Thanks so much for using Merlin.

    1) I think this is displayed by the Infinite Scrolling module, not the theme itself. Not sure if there is a setting to deactivate it, but you can ask the Jetpack developers about how to remove that.

    2) Not really. The slider height adjusts automatically to the content, and since images take some time too load it might not look perfect with the first slide, because the height is not known. After the images are loaded the height adjusts.

    Merlin is one of our older themes and we only update it for critical bugfixes, but the theme is not actively developed anymore. Therefore we have no plans to make any changes to the sticky nav feature, I’m sorry.
