How to remove the Designed by Smartcard text from Athena theme footer

There’s an option in the Pro version that allows users to easily remove the Designed by Smartcat text from the footer with 1 click.

For the free version, the Theme Author credit is part of the theme. The footer credit is the only way theme authors get credit for all the work we did to design and create the theme.

But there must be a way of changing the text that is written in there.

Go to /wp-content/themes/athena/inc/athena/athena.php. Edit athena.php file. At the bottom of the file you will find:

So, you can change the text and the logo of the link, and link of course…

There’s nothing such as Athena.php

I dont know, what to say..I found athena.php in my cpanel in public html – site folder/wp-content/themes/athena/inc/athena/athena.php. Look at my site, i removed smartcat https://autobuski-prevoznici.com/mesecne/

Wordpress lets them do it and WordPress gives enough possibilities to make people find them. It all theme developpers do it, we are not interesting in wp anymore. We already spend a lot of time and tuning themes to have to pay to remove an ad.
