How to remove the counter from my wordpress site?

    Hello,
    Could you please give me detailed instructions on how to remove the stats counter from the bottom left of my website? I have deactivated it and the counter is still there. I uninstalled successfully the plugin (at least wordpress gave this response) but the stats counter stays there.

    I am not too technically, so if you could me step by step instructions, I would be very happy.

    I found the solution, the plugin injects code into the themes footer.php file

    They would have known that and its a pity they just couldn’t point it out, just open up the file and remove it, its right at the bottom of the file
