How to Remove Test from Blog Page
-
Hi
I created a Test, no problem.
It is called “test”. Problem is this post shows up on my Blog Page.
Is that normal? How can I show the Test post but not have it listed on the Blog Page? (I assume because WP thinks it’s a Post that it should be on the Blog page). I cannot set status to draft or else it won’t show at all.
Thanks

Try “Is show on homepage” option.
I don’t have this
Try “Is show on homepage” option
I checked the other posts like here:
https://ps.w.org/wp-testing/assets/screenshot-02.png?rev=1206953Strange why I don’t see it.
See your /wp-admin/options-reading.php
You have there “Front page displays” (.) “A static page (select below)” setting active.
So that’s why you dont’ have those “Publish on homepage” setting.
In your case this plugin will not help. Try to find other plugin, that can manage which posts / custom post types can be shown where.
This plugin’s test is a “Custom Post Type”.
You know something strange? The Test that was showing up on the Blog Page was your sample Test included with the plugin (Extroversion Test). I changed the Status to “Draft” and now it doesn’t show up – so it’s solved.
For some reason the Test I created doesn’t show up at all on the blog page even after with the Status “Published”.Anyway looks like it’s solved but really I have no idea why ??
Thanks.@islo, then it looks like a bug.
Which Wp version, theme and other plugins do you have installed?
WP latest version. Also using Genesis Framework.
FYI, I am using this for my blog page: (the code, not the plugin).
https://www.billerickson.net/a-better-and-easier-grid-loop/
Perhaps that is an issue?
I am using Genesis Sample Theme for this project, it is bare bones really, nothing fancy.
Plugin are just a few:
All In One SEO Pack
Contact Form 7
Distraction Free Preview Button
Genesis eNews Extended
MailPoet Newsletters
Optimize Database after Deleting Revisions
Plugins Garbage Collector
Tabby Responsive Tabs
WordPress Database Backup
WordPress Importer
WP Add Custom CSS
WPFront Scroll TopHope that helps you.
I’m quite sure it’s the grid loop code that removes the homepage option.
I haven’t been able to replicate it so I wouldn’t worry about it.
Still a great plugin for our uses. Thank you.Ahh.. then just customize those query:
be_archive_query
I just saw this post, thanks but where would I find that file? I checked under Queries folder, not there.
Also, on your donation link, do you have a place I can enter my own amount for funds – $40 is beyond the budget, but will donate what I can.
ThxHi Islo!
Current donation link is https://www.paypal.me/Ustimenko/19.83eur
As I see there, you can etner eny amount and choose any currency you want.
If you want another sum, then just enter them or try links like:

Regarding your concrete issue. I dont’ think I can help you through free support — it’s too complicated and custom. Paid support starts from 50$ per hour. Also as I remember your concrete issue is beyond responsibility of this plugin — you can solve it with “Genesis Framework” authors or someone else.
Ok no problem, I will find a solution. For now I am leaving the blog post for the Test on the blog page but placed it at the end of the blog.
Thanks for the donate link, will do it that way, although I don’t have a paypal account so maybe I can just pay with credit card.
@islo, by the publication date? Nice workaround.
Thanks
Can you tell me how to donate without a paypal account?
Paypal.me asks for paypal login. ThxAs I see now from other people, paypal.me is something non-stable.
Can you try just direct paypal.com to [email protected] ?
Another option is previous paypal donation link:
