    Can we change the url for the Author field? I have a website where I showcase the works of several authors, and they already have their own url, like so:

    website/author name/

    When I enter the author field in the review, it creates major duplication in the form of:

    website/reviews/authors/author’s name, which creates major duplication on my site

    Is it possible instead to point the author link to my already existing post for that author?

    I am so sorry for the delayed response, I totally missed this support request.

    In regards to your question, this is not directly possible because the author URL you get from the plugin is created automatically by WordPress. This is how WP works when generating the URL for the taxonomy-term archive page of a custom post type.

    With that said, I can think of 2 workarounds…

    You could use the Redirection plugin to redirect the URL created by Recencio to the one you created.

    You could create a new custom metadata field in Recencio’s settings for the “author’s URL” and save your own author URL in that field.
