how to remove sidebar from pages

I would like to have some page without a sidebar, some with. I know the builder template pages have no sidebar, but I just need text, so this doesn’t work for me.

I created a no-sidebar template, but the site-content remains the same width as if there were a sidebar.

Is there some easier way to have the option of a full-width page template for certain pages?
