How to remove shopping cart and product search bar from header

Hello everyone,

I recently created a site with the “shopstore” theme, and I also woocommerce installed. However, I would like to have the shopping cart and product search bar removed from the header. I’ve tried numerous css codes but none of them work:/ I’ve pasted the css, both in the additional css column, as well as in the customer css, but nothing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated ??
