• I’m using the Parabola theme and I found a tutorial on changing the footer text. But when I got to the Appearance->Editor section, I found the Themefooter.php but I don’t know how to get rid of the “Powered by Parabola and WordPress”. The tutorial I found was probably the one before the 4.5.3 that I’m using. I have the Parabola settings and Cryout Serious theme settings but I couldn’t figure out what to do. Please help!

  • According to the theme developer’s site () that is a feature available only to those that donate to them.

Anyways when it comes to free themes the best practice is to just leave the theme copyright footer as it is because that is the least you can do to help the theme developers that created the theme and released it for free.

But hey you can send them an email and see if they can help you with that.9 times out of 10 they will help you with your problem even if you aren’t a donator. The best people to help you with theme problems are the ones that coded it.

    * the theme developers site is https://www.cryoutcreations.eu

This is terrible practice. Asking for contributions is OK, but requiring contributions for the capability that is provided by most others is infuriating (especially when you may have spent a lot of time building a site only to find much later this complication). I would suggest switching to a different theme that gives you the capability to make these settings. I have searched high and low and always end up on forums with people complaining to Cryout on this topic. Cryout stands firm and to date, I have not found a solution.
