How to remove post root on search

  • Hi,

    Please take a look at the screenshot first here: https://imgur.com/Z9e1iSK.

    The problem I’m having right now is that ‘News’ category of posts shows up on the search result page. I’ve been looking for an option for Search page in the admin but there seems to be no such feature available. Why is generating the unnecessary category? The template file is ‘search.php’.

    Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I believe that search results should be children of the Home page, not the Blog page (or in your case News page). So this is likely a bug, though looking back at older code, it has either been around for quite a while (since 5.0) or was introduced in 5.5.0. I’m tracking this bug in the following GitHub Issue: https://github.com/mtekk/Breadcrumb-NavXT/issues/154
