How to remove part from theme permalink structure?

  • Hello, I have installed a wordpress theme for ads. I structured the site as follows:
    sitename.com/nameofads
    But the theme generates the links in the following
    structure: sitename.com/ad/nameofads
    How can i remove part “ad” from permalink structure?
    The generated structure causes the ad blocker to block the single ads.
    The index is displayed, categories and archives are too, but the single ads are blocked.
    I suspect that this can be avoided by removing the part “ad” from addresses structure.
