How to remove overlay?

  • I appreciate your hard work, really I do. But please, be careful with such dramatic changes. Today, a customer sent me an email and asked why we use a dark grey page. I had no idea what he’s talking about. He sent me a screenshot of the new “improved” side cart. The close icon was missing, so that some customers simply didn’t know what to do. He found the overlay most distracting. Now, I can change all customer sites manually which is a lot of work. I couldn’t find anything in the settings to disable the overlay. How can I remove it?

    Hello,

    We haven’t added any new overlay. The overlay was already there since the beginning.
    The recent update only added the animation.
    Are you sure the extra overlay isn’t coming from any other plugin?

    Thank you very much. Then I was wrong, I guess. Maybe, I took the customer’s remark too seriously and had never really thought about the overlay. I apologize!

    But I’m pretty sure that I had the close icon activated on all sites. Did you change the default settings?
