how to remove noindex tag

  • Hi everyone.

    My site is not indexed by google search and its says there is a noindex meta tag which should be removed. When I check the theme file, I dont see any such meta tag. But when I view source of my site, there is such a meta tag. I dont know how to locate it and remove it.

    It sounds like the Discourage search engines from indexing this site option is checked in Reading Settings. If it is checked, uncheck it and save the change.

    If it’s not checked and yet your site has a noindex tag, it could have been introduced by a plugin. Try selectively deactivating plugins until the tag goes away. Be aware that caching can confuse your investigation. During such an investigation, disable all caching that you can and flush any that remain prior to each test.
