can you help me. How to remove noindex within <meta name=”robots” content=”noindex, noodp, noydir” /> tag on my homepage??

My site has more langauges, all other subpages are fine, noindex is gone, but still on homepage there is this noindex, although i unchecked it in the plugin?!

    Thanks for your help,
    Kany

    Sybre,

one strange thing, that i have never seen before. Altought on the main (index) page there is this NOINDEX tag, the site is been indexed?!

Any idea? Check on Google this: site:www.petra-dario.com and you will see also the https://www.petra-dario.com is indexed, what do you think? Can this harm to SEO and site??

    Thanks,
    Kany

    Hi Kany,

That’s odd, the latest cached version (and another one with /en/) Google has of your site shows no noindex value within the robots tag.

Is there anything you’ve changed before 15 March (Google’s last cached visit) and have undone since?

Google obviously knows about your website :).
Alas, https://www.petra-dario.com/en/ has been removed from index.
Luckily, your true home page (root) has not.

Also, this problem shows to do no harm in your case. This is because it’s a /subdirectory/ (e.g. example.com/en/) where this problem resides, not the root of your website (e.g. example.com/).

From my experience, the site:example.com query seems to ignore the noindex robots tag (Google has many secrets).
    Try searching for: inurl:https://www.petra-dario.com/en/
    And: inurl:https://www.petra-dario.com/

    I hope this helps!

Let me know if you’ve found the cure for the no-index tag on that page, although I think it’s stated somewhere in my previous comments :).

    Hi Kany,

I’ve found the bug and I’m releasing an update with the fix momentarily. Details will be included within the changelog.

Thank you so much for your patience, your dedication, and of course for sticking around! ??

I just migrated from Yoast and had the same issue, where my static home page and 4 other pages were all set to noindex. None were set to be noindex, and also none were set inside the pages to be noindex. After some troubleshooting I found that saving it with it enabled in the page view, and then saving it with it unenabled in the page view worked to remove the noindex. Just posting it here incase someone one needs to know how to fix it for themselves.

Thanks for the heads up ScooterEra! I’ll be sure to check it out!
Yet I do have a small suspicion an object-caching plugin was the culprit, as re-saving has fixed it.
