Hi, I am using the Neve theme on my blog. It seems that all the links on the Neve theme are nofollow by default which is bad for SEO. I need to make my internal links do-follow. Please guide my how can I remove the no-follow attribute from the theme file?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @hesteem2019!

    Thanks for choosing Neve!

Could you please tell us how did you add those links? I checked my test instance and for me all the links from Neve are follow links by default.

Thank you and have a nice day!

On my blog’s homepage, there is a portion of latest posts. All the post links there are no-follow. I added those links with the help of a plugin. But I do not think it’s a plugin’s fault. There is an option in the plugin to make the links no-follow, but I did not select that option.

    Hi @hesteem2019!

    Thanks for clarifying!

I added one of those links on my test instance without using a plugin and it doesn’t have that no-follow attribute, so it is a follow link by default, as you can see here. You can check other links from our starter sites too to see that they are follow links by default. That no-follow attribute may come from the plugin used.

    Have a good day!

I have checked the plugin’s settings and the no-follow option is disabled. So no issue with the plugin.

    Hello @hesteem2019,

I have also installed the Post Carousel plugin on a test instance and ir works correctly for me (screenshot), meaning this issue is reproduced only on your instance. I also tried the no-follow option in the plugin settings and it works correctly.

In this case, I suggest trying to use the Health Check Plugin and the troubleshooting mode. Keep Neve and this plugin only active, and see if the issue persists. Then start activating the other plugins one by one whilst checking to see if the issue appears until you find the faulty plugin.

Also, please try and clear all cache (server, plugins, browser) and see if the issue persists.

Thank you and please let us know how it went!
