How to remove lastmod, changefreq and priority

For changefreq you can filter https://api.betterwp.net/bwp-google-xml-sitemaps/master/hooks.html#filter_bwp_gxs_freq and return false.

For priority you can filter https://api.betterwp.net/bwp-google-xml-sitemaps/master/hooks.html#filter_bwp_gxs_priority_score and return false.

Removing lastmod is not possible at the moment without building a custom sitemap module. I don’t think it’s a good idea to remove lastmod btw.

Can you please tell me how could I go further to remove the lastmod too? I have a static wp site. Where could I start to build a custom sitemap module?

I still recommend against removing lastmod. If you truly don’t need it, you can also remove it by setting post_modified_gmt field of a post in database to 0000-00-00 00:00:00.

Oh ok great, I already got modified_gmt to that date.

Now I realize I should not remove changefreq and instead make it to daily or weekly. Instead of returning ‘false’ I should just write daily? Priority will still be on false because I want it removed but now I really need changefreq to be changed to daily.

It seems there’s a weird issue, if I split in post_part1.xml post_part2.xml etc it gives me a 404 found.

Have added those rewrite rules and I can generate it and all but this is the single issue now… Weird

What rewrite rules did you add? Splitting post sitemaps does not require any additional rewrite rules.
