• Hi, I’m very new to WordPress so am finding it a little hard to hold of. How can I remove the iteminfo elements please? They are the modifydate, createdby and createdate.
    Thanks.

  • Hello,

Are you using the default theme, a free theme, or one of the premium themes? Each theme has the iteminfo elements in a slightly different place in the coding so that would help make finding the right lines easier.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I believe it’s called Afterburner (by RocketTheme).

Great. I don’t know exactly where the line is on Afterburner, but in the Editor in your Dashboard open the files called “archive.php” and “single.php”. Do a search for <span class=”createdby”>, “author”</span> (that will do the createdby element), and any others that you want to remove and delete them. Unfortunately I couldn’t test it out since I don’t use that theme, but that is the method in other custom themes that I have found. If that doesn’t work please let us know so we can try to find where those lines are in the template.

I have removed those lines from the two files already (after doing some searching on the matter) however they still appear? Where else could it be please?
