The page linked is an example…

I currently use both Event Calendar and Event Tickets…

How do I get rid of the “Free” text on an event? Or even better, how do I change “Free” to include a price? I swear there used to be a field where you could enter price for an event, however I am not able to find that field any longer.

  • Hey there @eveneziano90,

    Thanks for reaching out!

After you set up your payment gateway like Tribe Commerce, you’ll have an option for tickets when adding/editing events.

You should be fine after that is set up, I’ll also link a page in our KB that goes over changing any string > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/change-the-wording-of-any-bit-of-text-or-string/

    Take care,
    Ed ??

So to clarify, the only way to remove the “Free” text would be to either set up a payment gateway or modify the string of text itself?

Did there used to be a input field where you could add/modify if an event was free vs a price? Or am I just remembering incorrectly?

Yes, you’ll have access to the price field once your gateway is set up.

You are remembering correctly. Generally in The Events Calendar, there is a price field. Once Event Tickets is installed, the pricing is overridden with the new Ticket Pricing.

    Hope that helps!
