    Hi

    I’m new to your plugin.

My client just wants a general booking system (we don’t need a Category drop down at all), don’t need Employee drop down fields.

Basically I’m confused as this is for customer’s to book, WHY does it have an Employee section? If a customer is going to book say for Appointment (and we are having hourly bookings) for Psychologist appointments, we ONLy need the date options and time options. Not employee and Category.

How can I remove this and simplify the BOOKING section form please?

Also HOW can we GREY OUT certain dates that are NOT available that the Client/owner wants to NOT be available in the Calendar?

Also can you confirm that your plugin can link in with Google Calendar ?

I also read that your plugin can email/text the customer when appointments are due to remind them, is that correct?

    Thanks

    Kristin

    Where are all the settings?

I can only see Initial Setup setting and that’s it.

    Thanks

Is there another way to view the Booking form rather than the default?

    Currently I see

    SERVICE TIME DETAILS PAYMENT DONE

    CATEGORY SERVICE EMPLOYEE

    I’m Available on or After M T W T F Start From Finish By

    Shows Calendar Dates

I would prefer the Booking Calendar for CUSTOMER to look different from this.

    What options do we have?

    Thanks

I found the settings, still need a way to make it look different and without those additional fields I don’t need.

    Thanks

Also if something happens to the plugin, what happens to all the Calendar entries in there? Just wondering HOW these are saved and backed up, because if a Client has over 30 bookings and something happens to the website or bookings, then that would be very stressful for everyone involved.

We can link to Google Calendar also? Many clients now use Outlook Calendar, can this link to their Outlook Calendar at all or just Google Calendar?

Please advise HOW backups of the bookings are handled etc.

    Thanks

I’m also assuming that a WordPress user is NOT created each time someone books?

    Hello Kristin,

Those fields can be hidden by updating the shortcode of the booking form in page editing mode. Check this guide on how this shortcode can be updated: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/212800185-Publish-Booking-Form

Dates that won’t have available time slots will automatically have an opaquer tone.

Google/Outlook calendar synchronization, reminder notifications and automatic WP user creation are supported in the commercial version of the plugin (and add-ons). If you have any questions about these features, please reach out to us directly: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/requests/new as these type of inquiries are prohibited on this forum.

Besides updating the shortcode of the booking form, you can also make changes to the form in the Appearance menu.

If you would like to have a back up of your data, you would need to have database back up. Hosting providers usually offer this option/feature.

    HI, Thanks for your reply.

I’m using Divi Editor for all pages and Not Gutenberg Editor. Do I have to install Gutenberg Editor for the Calendar page to see those settings. It seems Divi Editor is not showing on the Calendar page, is that because this page ONLY needs to have Gutenberg Editor to work properly as it is part of your plugin maybe? Please advise.

If so, will it work alongside Divi Theme and Divi Builder?

Is there another way to hide those fields? I can just add it into the shortcode if you could advise would be great. Is there documentation that I can look at for this to HIDE those fields in the shortcode that would be great.

I’m meeting the new client about this plugin in 4 hours so need to get it looking correctly without the Category field , Service Field, and Don’t really need Employee field -There is only 1 Pshychologist and it is her business. So we ONLY need simple so a Customer can book.

The Client prefers that the Customer can view the Calendar straight away , then the Customer can see the Calendar and what dates are available right away (we don’t need Start From or Finish by option). We don’t need to tick M, T, W, T, F either.

Just a simple Calendar of availability.

Can we OMIT the SERVICE altogether and just go straight to the “TIME” Section, that’s what my client would prefer? Then the Customer can see the Calendar straight away, and choose what day they prefer and see the available time slots straight away? Can we possibly do it this way?

I will end up buying the Paid Plugin, but wanted to ENSURE that we can do what I’m proposing for my client above firstly.

How do I block out dates in the plugin? Or is that only available in the paid version? Can I block out a whole week and/or particular days and particular times in the backend easily?

I wasn’t sure about the Calendar data wouldn’t that be stored in your plugin? So the calendar entries would be stored in your plugin which in turn is backed up in the WordPress database, which then could be restored if something goes wrong or missing?

Can a whole calendar be restored instead of the whole database as sometimes something has gone wrong with the plugin, and only your plugin calendar needs to be restored and NOT the whole database?

    Thanks

And can you confirm which Gutenberg Editor is compatible with your plugin so I can hide fields IF I need to have this?

As I use Divi Theme and Divi Builder for every client, I don’t need to install any Gutenberg plugins.

    Gutenberg by Gutenberg Team

    Gutenberg Blocks by PublishPress

    Thanks Kristin

The most simple way would be to switch temporarily to a standard WP theme, generate the desired shortcodes and copy paste them on the desired pages. Here’s an example with the hidden category and employee fields: [bookly-form hide=”categories,staff_members”] and here’s another will all hidden fields besides the service field: [bookly-form hide=”categories,staff_members,date,week_days,time_range”].

The first step can be hidden, the same way, by updating the shortcode and setting up a default service. If your theme doesn’t have the options to update the shortcode, try to switch temporarily to generate this shortcode.

The booking form will work with the majority of the WP themes, but the option to customize the shortcode may be not be in all themes out there.

You can block out days by using the Days off tab from the staff members profile.

There isn’t a built-in feature to make back ups or restore them, but if you have these back ups our team will be able to help you to restore the lost data.
