How To Remove Feature Image from Posts?

    I recently changed to this this theme (from Carton) and I’m trying to utilize the great layout but I am having trouble. It took me a while to figure out that in order to get the image in my post to show on the homepage I’d have to use the Feature Image option. Great, now the image shows as a thumbnail on the home page but it also shows up in the post scaled with loss of quality and cropped …along with the full sized image in the post. I thought I could figure it out but I need help.

    I regenerated thumbnails
    Activated the Simple Image Plugin

    I’m reading post all over the place to go in and add code, remove code, change code but I hesitate to move forward with those instructions because they are not specific to my theme.

    Okay I figure out how to make it work for me.

    Remove the post image.

    Check the feature image option in the post.

    In the Simple Image Plugin settings I increased the sizes of

    feature image and slider image to 1024 x 1024 max

    don’t know if this is an official fix but it works good enough for me for now .. especially since I cannot get help anywhere else …
